Today was a wonderful day for me. I got to spend almost the whole day with the Trillium Quilt Guild, and this evening I had a surprise visit. More on that later. Continue reading

Time with the kids
Mark took me to work this morning at the Noble House and then he went and picked Merih up for some guy time. Mark has been working on Merih’s car for at least the last couple of weeks, and it was hoped that with Merih’s help, they might be able to finish, but this car is not so easy to fix. However, Mark thinks that they should be able to have it driveable by next Tuesday. Merih is certainly hoping so! Continue reading
When it’s hot, it storms!
When I went to work at the Visitor’s Center today, the sky was sunny and blue. There was not a hint of the predicted thunderstorms. Continue reading
Happy birthday, Kader!
Today is Kader’s twenty-first birthday. I managed to get tickets to a play so that we could take her tonight. First, at Merih’s invitation, we took her to dinner in the bar at Sister Bay Bowl. That’s where he works and he wanted to serve us. We sat facing the bowling alley and enjoyed watching people of all ages play.

My pastor was too devastated to call back. Continue reading
Fun, fun, fun!

Guys and Gals
This morning, Mark took me and my bicycle and art portfolio over to where Merih and Kader live. He left me with Kader for the day and took Merih with him. Merih wanted to buy a car, so Mark took him down to the Green Bay area to look for one. Continue reading
Lots happening…
The furnace guys came around 8:30 this morning to put the ductwork in. Apparently, at 12:20, the delivery people tried to deliver our new tub, but with the furnace truck in the driveway, I guess they decided not to drop it off. I was out getting lunch for the young men and me so I didn’t know about until I found their note tucked into my screen door. And at 1:30, Bill Curran came to work some more on our bathroom vanity. From Guymon, OK
I’ve taken a lot of interesting pictures today, but it’s too late to get them off my camera and post them. Mostly, I just wanted to let you know where we are tonight and that we are still alive! Continue reading
