Sight seeing
It has been so long since Mark and I used to stop at sights along our route that I was really looking forward to today, but I’m feeling my age tonight! I should mention that Mark used an actual camera and I was able to download his sim card more easily than I could the pictures from my phone with our connection issues here in the Black Hills. There are a few of mine mixed in here, but most of them are Mark’s.

Our reception here at the Mt Rushmore KOA isn’t very good, so I wasn’t able to download many pictures, which is probably just as well since I’ve been staying up late to process all the ones I’ve published.

Going through Montana today reminded me of the train trip Mom and I took from Portland to Wisconsin several years ago. Mark and I had breakfast with Mom at Shari’s this morning and then we headed off for the rest of our trip. Temperatures got into the 80s today!

Mark suggested I spend my last night here at Mom’s house. If my pictures look different from usual, it’s because I can’t get into the internet on my laptop to use my usual editing program so I’m using one that comes with Mom’s computer. It doesn’t do all the things I’m used to being able to do, but it’s better than no pictures at all!

Today was our shortest travel day so far, but it was our most beautiful as well. I haven’t spent a lot of time in southern Oregon, so I’m guessing at the names of some of the things I pictured below. If anyone can correct me, let me know!

We woke up at the Naval Air Station’s Famcamp this morning and Mark walked down to the office to try to pay for our night’s stay, but they didn’t open until 10:00. Around 10:00, he tried again, but the right staff member wasn’t in there to take the payment, so someone else told him to just leave his card information.
