Final Bridges event
Last night was the final Bridges event for the students. The first part of the evening was spent on the drive range at the golf course in Ephraim, and the last part of the evening was spent at First Baptist Church in Sister Bay where they served a Thanksgiving meal. Continue reading
2019 Block Party
Ranch Lane has an annual block party and they alternate which end of our street is having it every year. This year it was at the “dead end” of our street. Mark and I only had a short walk to get there. Continue reading
BACA
Over Labor Day weekend, Sister Bay is having their annual Marina Festival. This year, through Mark’s efforts, BACA has a booth at the festival. BACA is a biker group Mark belongs to and the initials stand for Bikers Against Child Abuse. Continue reading

Time with the kids
Mark took me to work this morning at the Noble House and then he went and picked Merih up for some guy time. Mark has been working on Merih’s car for at least the last couple of weeks, and it was hoped that with Merih’s help, they might be able to finish, but this car is not so easy to fix. However, Mark thinks that they should be able to have it driveable by next Tuesday. Merih is certainly hoping so! Continue reading

Happy birthday, Kader!
Today is Kader’s twenty-first birthday. I managed to get tickets to a play so that we could take her tonight. First, at Merih’s invitation, we took her to dinner in the bar at Sister Bay Bowl. That’s where he works and he wanted to serve us. We sat facing the bowling alley and enjoyed watching people of all ages play.
A little bit of catch-up
First, some news about my pastor, Nancy. I believe I had last told you that she was not going to have a mastectomy. That was the news she told us all when she sent a phone call out to the church. Ten minutes later, the oncologist called her and told her that not only was that still a possibility, but the doctor wanted her to have a port put in to start a sixteen-week course of chemo. My pastor was too devastated to call back. Continue reading
