Ash Wednesday

My church shares our building with another church called Trinity Reformed Church. Mark woke me up this morning and told me that Trinity was having an Ash Wednesday service. I jumped out of bed and got dressed and went in.

Merry Christmas, Everybody!

From our RV to your house, Merry Christmas!

I did a couple of readings at my church’s Christmas Eve service this evening. If you’d be interested in hearing th, I do a scripture reading right at the beginning (and there’s a glitch you have to click past), and then Dale reads the Christmas story from Luke 2. After that, I read Paul Harvey’s Christmas story, “The Man and the Birds”. Enjoy!

A Happy Thanksgiving!

When my sister, Sherill, was alive, she always used to have the whole family over for Thanksgiving. It was potluck-style, but she’d assign a dish for each person to bring. The table was long and the conversation was boisterous. Thanksgiving has slowly dwindled down to family members having their own celebrations. It’s kind of sad in a way, but Mom made it a little happier for Mark and me today…
