Home at last!

There have been some changes since Mark and Mom and I left Door County last fall, and I’m not just talking about COVID-19. It did feel weird to talk with my neighbor across the street and her yard from her, but that is perfectly understandable. There are other things that aren’t quite so easy. But first…

From Donald, OR

In the middle of the night last night, sometime between 3:00 and 4:00 in the morning, we woke up to the sound of a couple fighting loudly outside our room.  I think they had at least one teenaged son because I heard him tell his dad that he’d found something.  I almost wondered if he was trying to pacify his dad to get him to stop yelling.  It was rather upsetting. Washer/dryer

For the last couple of summers, my washing machine has been occasionally staining our clothes with streaks that look a little like oil.  This summer, it badly stained one of my costumes for work at the Noble House and my boss had to take it home and work on it to get the stain out.  She told me about a repair guy that she trusts, and when I told him what happened, he suggested I try powdered laundry detergent rather than liquid.  That seemed to work at first, but then… Continue reading
