I slept well through the night last night. I must have been exhausted considering I had slept on the plane and then napped in the afternoon!

Tomorrow, June 13th, is Mark’s and my 13th wedding anniversary. Mark is leaving in the morning to go to Florida for a BACA conference and will be gone for a week and a half, so we had to celebrate today along with other things he had to prepare for leaving.

I don’t think I’ve mentioned this in my blog before, but I am on unemployment, and I made the mistake of reporting that I was unavailable to work the week that Mark and I were traveling up here. Ever since then, they stopped sending my benefits while they investigated why I wasn’t available that week.

Today, June 13th, Mark and I are celebrating our twelfth wedding anniversary. We spent most of the day apart — he driving to Milwaukee, a three hour drive each way, and me spending a good part of the day at the local laundromat cleaning up more stuff the mice got into. We did eventually get together for a dinner which we ordered as curbside delivery.

Thank you!
I just wanted to write a quick thanks to those who wrote to wish us a Happy Anniversary. Especially thanks for the card, Dad! We had a wonderful dinner and the waitresses laid white paper placemats at our table and lit a candle for us. They even gave us dessert for free. If you ever go through Tok, AK, stop to eat at Fast Eddies. It’s incredible! 🙂
