First things first

I slept well through the night last night. I must have been exhausted considering I had slept on the plane and then napped in the afternoon!

Mark and I cuddled in bed and talked for quite a while this morning. It’s so good to be together again! Then we got dressed and had breakfast. I had to leave half of what I took with me to Oregon there, so Mark opened up the boutique my church has so that I could find some things to wear in their place. The church boutique is in a shed near our RV in the back of the church. People donate all kinds of things to it and anyone who needs something can take things for free from it.

Then Mark dropped me off at my Block Advisors office while he went and looked for a tool he needed. I went in to talk with my boss, Victoria, about any kind of work she might have for me. She said that all the second-half calls had been made. Before I left there a month ago, there had only been 190 calls on the list and I had made some of those before leaving. While we were talking, Victoria went into the list and found that the list now has a few pages of calls to make. The problem is that the district manager told Victoria that she has to cut the number of hours the receptionists can work, and technically, I’m hired as a receptionist even though all I do is make outbound calls. She said she would get in touch with the district manager and ask if I can come back to make the calls. At the least, she said that the hours will refresh for next week and she’ll cut one of the other receptionist’s hours so that I can come in and make calls. If not, I have other things I can do to keep busy for the next month.

My sister and brother-in-law had an anniversary yesterday. I knew that before I left, so I decorated their room at Mom’s house in anticipation of their arrival today. Happy anniversary, Lauryn and Rob!

I took this picture before I left but waited to put it up until I was pretty sure Lauryn and Rob would have a chance to see it in person first. Surprise, you guys!
