From Meade, KS
We went through four states today: New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas! We were aiming to stop in Liberal, Kansas right on the border of Oklahoma and Kansas, but there was “no room in the inn,” so to speak. Some of you may remember that we stopped in Liberal two or three years ago and visited Dorothy Gale’s house (Wizard of Oz). Since neither of the RV parks there had room for us, we went another 40 miles to Meade of the Dalton Gang Hideout fame. Good thing the Dalton’s never came to Dorothy’s house!

Doesn’t the name “Carrizozo” conjure up exotic images? We’ve probably driven through it before but never stayed here long enough to notice it. We got here after dark, so I don’t know what the town looks like. Anyway…
Continue readingHappy birthday, Mark!
Today is Mark’s 67th birthday and we’re going to make a two-day celebration of it, so everyone can still send him birthday wishes at Lonewalker6923@gmail.com!

Mark dropped me off at work around 8:30 this morning because he finally had the supplies he needed to go up and do that job in Winkleman that we checked out a couple of weeks ago. He knew that was going to be a long day for him, especially since it takes and hour and fifteen minutes just to get there. From Tucson, AZ
When we got up in Kingman this morning, it was really cold. Mark told me it would get warmer today, but considering how cold last winter was in Tucson, I wasn’t so sure. I put my long johns on. Continue reading
From North Ogden, UT
I tried charging my camera battery up all day today, but it’s dead. I don’t know if it’s the battery or the cord or the place I plugged it in, but I wasn’t able to get pictures with my camera today. Continue reading
Happy Thanksgiving!
Champoeg State Park was going to be full from tonight through Saturday night when Wendy first made a reservation for us this last week. By the time I got on last night to make a reservation beginning December 1st, the park was full until the 8th. That’s what procrastination gets you! Continue reading
From Donald, OR
In the middle of the night last night, sometime between 3:00 and 4:00 in the morning, we woke up to the sound of a couple fighting loudly outside our room. I think they had at least one teenaged son because I heard him tell his dad that he’d found something. I almost wondered if he was trying to pacify his dad to get him to stop yelling. It was rather upsetting. Continue reading
From Richland, WA
The part of Butte, Montana we spent the night in last night was the historic section. As we were leaving, I took several pictures. Continue reading
