Happy Thanksgiving!

Champoeg State Park was going to be full from tonight through Saturday night when Wendy first made a reservation for us this last week.  By the time I got on last night to make a reservation beginning December 1st, the park was full until the 8th.  That’s what procrastination gets you! I passed!

This morning Mark and I went over to Mom’s house.  She made lunch for us and started an unintentional fire, but Mark’s quick thinking saved the day.  After lunch, he stayed and fixed her garbage disposal which hasn’t worked in several years.  This afternoon, he was called to work. Continue reading

Final Bridges event

Last night was the final Bridges event for the students.  The first part of the evening was spent on the drive range at the golf course in Ephraim, and the last part of the evening was spent at First Baptist Church in Sister Bay where they served a Thanksgiving meal.   Continue reading

Umm…On your mark…?

OK, so Mark and I were talking about things today and he says we probably could have left by Sunday except that we need to stop in Green Bay to pick up a part so the RV furnace will work, and the supplier won’t be open on Sunday.  It’s looking like we won’t be leaving Door County until Monday.

Mark’s last day at work was last Saturday and mine was today.  Mark has been doing things to the RV to prepare for our trip to the frozen north.  He resealed the roof, patched leaks, caulked, put our new (to us) topper over the bedroom slide out, and began packing things back into the basement of the RV.
