I know it seems like I’ve dropped off the face of the earth for the last couple of weeks, but I have a good reason.  I’ve been working.  The last two weeks, H&R Block has been in peak season.  I have been working four-day weeks, but in calculating my hours for the pay period yesterday, I discovered I had worked a little over 99 hours!   Continue reading

OK, so Mark and I were talking about things today and he says we probably could have left by Sunday except that we need to stop in Green Bay to pick up a part so the RV furnace will work, and the supplier won’t be open on Sunday.  It’s looking like we won’t be leaving Door County until Monday.

Quilt workshop, and elections

Back before I flew out to Oregon in September, I signed up to participate in a quilt workshop put on by the Trillium Quilt Guild today.  When I thought I was going to be staying in Oregon, I canceled my registration for the workshop.  Then when Sherill died and I returned, I asked if there was still room for me and I was told yes, so I got to spend today being creative. Going for a Sunday drive

This morning we went to the Friends church in Sturgeon Bay that we had gone to whenever we had a chance last summer.  This is the church where The Old Rugged Cross was first performed at a revival meeting.  They have a monument to that effect beside the church building. Continue reading
