My friends and co-workers, Katherine Plahmer and Rosanne Curran, are also quilters. Each of them has taken me to Barn Door Quilts in Sturgeon Bay. In fact, Rosanne went to school with the owner so she introduced me to her. I have been to a couple of quilt stores here in Door County and have hoped they’d have some fabric that typified Door County. The closest I’ve come is cherry fabric and nautical fabric. The big storm
I don’t know if it made national news yesterday (Sunday) or not, but we were hit with a storm the likes of which I haven’t seen since the Columbus Day storm in the early 1960’s. Those of you in the Pacific NW will know the one I’m referring to. Continue reading
A perfect 10!
Mark and I were in the men’s bathroom this afternoon cleaning when Kathy brought a couple in to look around. Turns out they were the inspectors for the Good Sam Club. Continue reading
So nice to be appreciated and wanted!
We find ourselves in an enviable position. We are wanted in two different places next summer! Here’s the scoop… Continue reading
Forewarning
Today was the last day of our work week, but this weekend isn’t going to be fun and games as usual. Remember all that training Mark got to be an RV inspector? He’s been working on his final training and the next two days he has to do two premier mock inspections. We are going to be so busy I doubt I’ll have time to write, so this is a brief check in. Continue reading
Happy Father’s Day!
I tried to call my father this afternoon to wish him a Happy Father’s Day but ended up having to leave a message on his answering machine. Even better than that, Jamey left a Happy Father’s Day message on our answering machine for Mark. I hope Dad gets as much pleasure from my message as Mark got from Jamey’s! Continue reading
The first day of summer
I’m not saying that it felt like summer today, but I had a bit of a glow on. I experienced some things today I’ve never experienced before…a turtle laying eggs and the burning of the winter witch! Continue reading
Not all who wander are lost
Mark and I had looked for some Glucosamine at the two stores we usually go to in Sister Bay, but they didn’t have it so today we decided to look at Main Street Market in Egg Harbor. We found it there and we should have gone straight home. We intended to go straight home, but the weather was so beautiful today we started meandering around. Here are pictures from today: Continue reading
An evening at the theater
Yesterday Kathy asked if she could see Mark and me in her office and I thought, “Oh, oh!” However, she only wanted to ask if we’d like to see a free play tonight. She said she and Tim would cover our evening rounds if we wanted to go, so we jumped at the opportunity. Our co-workers, Susan and Cherie also went and we followed them to the theater. Continue reading
A-liners
This weekend we have a group of A-liners staying at Wagon Trail Campground. They’re having an A-liner rally. They’ve been coming in throughout the week, but today most of the rest of them arrived. “What is an A-liner?” you might be asking yourself. I grabbed a picture off Google images to show you: Continue reading
