Please be cautious!

About a week ago I had my email account closed because someone had hacked into it and sent a bunch of spam out from my address.  My son, Jamey, was able to help me change my password and put code protection on my account so that I can’t be hacked again, but that doesn’t mean that someone can’t use my email address to send out spam. We’re certified!

Our boss is the greatest!  Kathy paid for everyone on staff who wanted to to get trained as a Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA).  Mark and I went through the training today at The Clearing in Ellison Bay.  But first, a woman from The Clearing gave us a tour of the campus. Continue reading

Mother’s Day and the Big 6-0

Yesterday was Mother’s Day and I should have wished all you mothers out there a happy one, but I was too busy enjoying mine.  Sorry!  Today was my 60th birthday.  It was relatively normal with some special elements.  I have pictures from both days, although my pictures from today were taken on my phone and the quality isn’t quite as good. Family property

Mark and I didn’t set out until mid-afternoon today, and we stopped first at the quilt shop just up the road from our RV campground.  The woman in the shop has lived in both the St Petersburg area of Florida and in Door County, WI, so she was familiar with where we’ve been and where we are going.  It’s a small world! A new forwarding address

A number of you sent us Christmas cards that we haven’t received yet.  We have been using the UPS Store in Bellingham, WA as our forwarding address for nearly a year.  Problem is, they weren’t forwarding our mail to us.  In the year, we might have gotten four or five mailings, if that.  I could never reach them by phone, and I could seldom reach them by email.  It has been a very frustrating experience. Hilton Head, SC

Dad has been saying for years that Hilton Head is one of his favorite places in the country.  This morning we headed south to check it out for ourselves.  It was nearly a two-hour drive to get there.  We had no idea what to look for there, so we tried stopping at the first welcome center we saw, and we found that it was closed and completely empty.  Not a good sign!
