It has been so cold in the house that generally I sit in front of the fireplace in my winter coat and stoke the fire all day. It was every bit as cold in the house this morning, but there was a warm breeze outside. I opened all the windows and doors to let the heat in, and then I went outside to work in the yard. The hunt
Several of you have asked whether I got the job I interviewed for at the Ephraim Historical Museum. I didn’t get it, but the interviewer sent me an email asking if I’d like to have my name put in for a Visitor Information job in Ephraim. I politely declined. I would have gone the distance for the museum job, but not for another Visitor Information job. I already have one of those. Continue reading
A day at Green Bay
Mark had an appointment at the VA in Green Bay today, so we took advantage of the opportunity to run some errands and do some shopping down there. Continue reading
Job interview and etc.
I showed the pictures of Mark blow-torching the cellar doors yesterday so that he could get in and turn on the water. I failed to mention that when he tried to turn on the water pump, there was a crack and water sprayed everywhere, so we don’t have water to the house yet. Training
I packed a lunch and went to the H&R Block office this morning at 9:00, bound and determined I was going to finish the online training I still needed to do. It took me almost all day, but I am now trained! Continue reading
A day of rest
This morning, Mark wanted to stay home and work on his motorcycle. I went to the “church” that meets here in the park. Continue reading
