Training

I packed a lunch and went to the H&R Block office this morning at 9:00, bound and determined I was going to finish the online training I still needed to do.  It took me almost all day, but I am now trained!

This is my new office.

While I was there, I got to meet a couple of the tax pros, and over lunch I got to know one of the new receptionists better.  So far, everyone seems nice.  I’m not expected back until Friday and then I begin in earnest.

I finished the training around 4:20 pm and called Mark to come and get me.  He was there a few minutes later and I introduced him to my boss.  She commented again that she really hadn’t anticipated that I’d be at the training last Saturday.  I told her that on Friday we started out from north of LA and pushed to get to Phoenix by Friday night so we could get to Tucson in time for the training.  Mark said, “She’s dedicated!”  She seemed to agree.  Hopefully, today I was able to make up for any bad impressions I may have made on Saturday!

On the way home, Mark pointed out the mission to me.  We live at Mission View RV Resort, but I hadn’t yet viewed the mission.

Mission San Xavier del Bac

We hope to tour the mission soon.  There are a number of things we’d like to see and do, but first, Mark needs to find a job.  He’s working on his resumé now.  I’ll keep you posted.
