We left Tucson, AZ — after having gotten air in the RV tires and gas in the pickup — around 10:45 this morning. The temperature was 78°. It has not been one of our better days… Continue reading

…Get set…Go!
Mark’s last day at work was last Saturday and mine was today. Mark has been doing things to the RV to prepare for our trip to the frozen north. He resealed the roof, patched leaks, caulked, put our new (to us) topper over the bedroom slide out, and began packing things back into the basement of the RV. Continue reading
Arizona Sonora Desert Museum
The one thing my father has most wanted Mark and I to see before we leave Tucson (the town, not the dog) is the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. You may recall we set out to go once before and we got side-tracked by Old Tucson. We realized that it was now or never, so we went this afternoon in honor of Dad. Continue reading
Get ready…
We went to Mark’s church this morning and when we got home, I asked him if we could take a picture of ourselves. Besides my new Easter dress, Mark had gotten me another nice dress last weekend and I wore it today… Continue reading

This morning it was my turn to pick a church to attend, so I picked one that was recommended by an old friend of mine… Continue reading
From Phoenix, AZ
Last night I learned that there is a training I need to attend tomorrow at 1:00 pm, so we pushed today to get to Phoenix. We left Wheeler Ridge this morning at 9:05 am. The temperature was 59°. We try to avoid Los Angeles as much as possible even in the best of times, so today we came up with our own route to I-10. Continue reading
From Wheeler Ridge, CA
We drove in a haze today, literally. We left Galt at 9:30 am and the temperature was 52°. It got quite warm the further south we drove. Wheeler Ridge is just south of the junction of I-5 and Hwy 99, north of Los Angeles. We arrived at the truck stop here around 3:30 pm in 70° weather. I have a feeling I won’t be wearing sweaters again until we get back up to Wisconsin! Here are today’s pictures: Continue reading
From Galt, CA
It was foggy when we got up in Roseburg this morning. We headed out at 9:15 am and the temperature was 39° F. We were in and out of fog all morning as we went through the Calapooya Mountains in southern Oregon and the northern edge of California. Here are some pictures from today. Continue reading
From Portland, OR
I’m going to make this quick because I find myself falling asleep in front of my computer. A week on the road and crossing two time zones plus a change to Standard Time seems to be taking a toll on me.

I think I mentioned a couple days ago that Mark was coming down with a cold. I’ve been trying to doctor him up, but it’s taking its course. This morning before we left Burley, Idaho, Mark went into Walmart and got himself some appropriate gear for the outdoors… Continue reading
