Not a whole lot to tell today because our day was cut short…

From North Platt, NE
We are still in Nebraska, and not as far up the road as we were aiming for, but wait until you see the pictures I got today in Lincoln, Nebraska! This is why we stopped there:
Continue readingIn the arena
Before we left home, I washed some of our laundry, but by today, we were out of some things, so that’s why we decided to stay at the Lancaster Event Center here in Lincoln, Nebraska another day and take showers and do all of our laundry. We had heard that they have free laundry here. You can’t beat that on the road!

This morning, Mark and Tucson and I walked around the park we found ourselves in when we woke up. I had hoped we were on the edge of the Mississippi River so that I could dabble my toes in it, but we couldn’t get close to the river due to Mud Lake being in the way. However, the pictures I got were the only ones I got today, so enjoy…
Continue readingFrom Sherrill, IA
I love the name of this town, although it’s spelled a little differently from Sherill’s name. This is the name Mom derived Sherill’s name spelling from. Continue readingLast day at the Noble House
I wasn’t sure when my last day at the Noble House for this season would be, but my boss told me at the end of my shift today that the museum will be closed next weekend. I ended the season with a bang!
Continue readingFall Fest
Last weekend was the Pumpkin Patch in Baileys Harbor. This weekend is Fall Fest in Sister Bay. Next weekend will be the Fall Art Crawl in Ellison Bay. Then, the tourist season will be pretty much over! Everyone here is eager for the tourists to go away. I called one of the lodgings I call every week to find out what their availability is like, and I asked the hotel manager how he was doing. He said he wanted to crawl under his desk!

…Mark gets a chance to wear a Viking hat! This was a picture and story I forgot to tell on Sunday but thought you might enjoy. We went to Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant (the one with the goats on the roof!) in Sister Bay for lunch after church, and while we were waiting to get a table, we went into their boutique to see what wonderful things they had.
