It’s been a good day. Jamey and Sage drove up from Madison and arrived in Door County this evening. More on that later. But first, my pastor… Continue reading

Out with the old…
Worse than we thought
I haven’t written since Mark got home last Thursday, so let’s just say first of all that Mark and Tucson got home safely. Tucson hasn’t been feeling well the last couple of days, but her nose is still cold and wet so we’re assuming it was something she ate. Continue reading
My famous brother-in-law!
As Mark and I were traveling home across the Midwest, my brother-in-law, Fred, celebrated his 98th birthday. We tried to call him on the day of, but we couldn’t reach him, so the next morning we called and sang Happy Birthday to him. Continue reading
Snow? In Tucson?!
While Mark and I were eating breakfast this morning, he looked out our front door window and said, “It’s snowing!” I left early for work, not being sure how well Arizonans drive in snow. It almost looked as though they don’t. There wasn’t much traffic on the road. Continue reading
Zzzzz…
I know it seems like I’ve dropped off the face of the earth for the last couple of weeks, but I have a good reason. I’ve been working. The last two weeks, H&R Block has been in peak season. Get set…again
Today went a little better. Mark gave me some specific cleaning assignments and I completed them, so I’m feeling better about myself. In the meantime, he managed to get things pretty much ready in the RV and we also got his motorcycle loaded into the pickup truck. We still have a fair amount to do tomorrow, and then we hope to spend the night tomorrow night in the RV so that we can pretty much head out on Monday.
The cone of shame!
I guess I haven’t mentioned yet that we ended up keeping Tucson. I had gotten a call from a neighbor saying that she’d heard of someone who might be interested in meeting Tucson, so I was getting all set to get rid of her, but Mark was really depressed. He loves her. To his credit, he wasn’t going to stop me from giving her away after what she did to me, but he was miserable. I finally told him if he can take her to work with him and everywhere else he goes, he can keep her. He took the passenger seat out of his work truck to accommodate her and he has been good at taking full responsibility for her. Continue reading
