On top of Stone Mountain

Mark and I went to explore the mountain today.  We decided to be really daring and buy a one-way ticket for the sky tram to the top of the mountain.  There is a trail that people can take in either direction or both.  We weren’t daring enough to try both! Continue reading

We crossed two state borders today, skipping over South Carolina.  We will be back in a week or so, but we are in a hurry to spend Thanksgiving with my cousin and his family in Orlando tomorrow.  By the way, Happy Thanksgiving to you all.  I trust you will be with family and enjoying the food, the fellowship, and “the game” (whichever one you watch). From Washington, PA

Had we not reached our campsite in the dark last night, I could have shown a bit more what Ohio looks like.  As it is, within about half an hour after paying for our campsite this morning, we were out of Ohio.  I paid in the Bob Evans homestead museum which is right next to the first Bob Evans restaurant, and they said I had to at least get something from the restaurant so I could have bragging rights to having eaten at the first Bob Evans restaurant.  I went in and got Mark a cinnamon roll and myself a cornmeal muffin, so there! Final weekend in Door County

I was sick for a week with the “company cold” (the staff has been passing it around), and this week Mark got it.  We’ve been working on trying to get packed up to leave and campers keep coming and won’t be leaving till the day before we do, so things have been busy.  Still, I’ve taken some time the last couple days to do some fun things while Mark had to stay home nursing his cold.
