Sunday reflections

As you can well imagine, I have been doing a lot of thinking about the fire and I have a testimony to share. I’ve been thinking about how the engine kept exploding and spewing out molten stuff as it burned. If it had done that while the truck was still attached to the RV, the RV could have caught fire. If it had happened while Mark was down in front of it trying to get the truck unhitched from the RV, it could have been much, much worse. God is good!

Family help and friendly prayers!

Mark has a sister in Ogden, Sharon, who brought us her car to use for a couple of days, and her son, Trevor, is going to help her get around while we have her car. My family has also been helping us, and I also want to thank all of you who have been praying for us. All prayers are gratefully received!

From Salt Lake City, UT – with a slight mishap…

Mark and I had just crossed the border into Utah and been driving on Highway I-80W when a bunch of cars started honking at us as they drove by. Call 911!”

We had heard that they have free laundry here. You can’t beat that on the road!

From Lincoln, NE

This morning, Mark and Tucson and I walked around the park we found ourselves in when we woke up. I had hoped we were on the edge of the Mississippi River so that I could dabble my toes in it, but we couldn’t get close to the river due to Mud Lake being in the way. However, the pictures I got were the only ones I got today, so enjoy…

From Sherrill, IA

I love the name of this town, although it’s spelled a little differently from Sherill’s name. This is the name Mom derived Sherill’s name spelling from. Sherrill is located due north of Dubuque by a few miles and is situated right on the Mississippi River. We saw the reflection of the water in our headlights as we pulled in. Otherwise, it was completely dark outside!
