We got farther than anticipated today. Mark was able to drive about seven and a half hours, but with stops it was over a nine hour day. He thought about pushing even farther, but by the time we got to Omaha the sun had set so we stopped. We’re making up for lost time! Continue reading

The night before last, Mark and I made a list of everything we need to do before we can leave. Yesterday we worked on it all day and only accomplished a little less than half the list. Last year and the year before, Mark and I were working at Wagon Trail Campground. Had we been there this year, Monday would have been our last day of work and we would have likely been heading out yesterday. I was too tired to write last night after I finished processing all the pictures I took during the day, so I’m catching you up now.

My son and daughter-in-law are here to visit for a couple days. This morning they came to see the house and the yard. Sarah is good at identifying plants and she says she thinks I have grapes and golden raspberries in my yard. She recommended we wait to see whether they are before we consider pulling them out.
