We knew when we got up this morning that it was going to be a busy day, but it was even busier than we originally thought it was going to be. Continue reading

Hiring employees
I hired three men today. I’ve never done that before so I hope I got some good ones! Continue reading
Final days of school
I didn’t get a chance to mention that all of us women were invited over to the Cooper’s RV yesterday afternoon for a “Kitchen class”. I had no idea what a kitchen class would be. They have a brand new Redwood and it’s very fancy but out of our price range. The kitchen class mostly consisted of showing off various features of the kitchen. Then one of the women changed the subject to questions she had about this week of training and things got a lot more interesting. I learned more from that discussion than I did from the class. Making the most of the day
I have heard it said that if you waste time you can’t get it back. We learned something similar in class this morning, but I’ll get to that in a moment. Continue reading
First day of school
This morning I went with Mark to the first session of his class. When I said the Workamper.com RV and Workamper News car belonged to Terry Cooper, I was wrong. They belong to the president of Workamper.com, Steve Anderson. Terry Cooper and his wife, whom everyone calls Lady E, are in a fifth wheel right next to Steve and his wife. Continue reading
From San Antonio, TX
This morning was our last at Falster Farm. We fed all the animals one last time and I took my last pictures of the place. We managed to get out through the pasture and get my car loaded onto the tow dolly, but not without wrecking the bumper of my car. We’ve been having a heck of a time with our vehicles lately! Continue reading
Rain, rain, go away!
Nancy has been wishing for rain for the farm and she has certainly gotten her wish the last couple of days. We’ve had so much rain that I finally had to put some old political posters across from the barn door to the gate that leads to their back yard. The mud was getting to be so deep it was trying to suck us in. Continue reading
All in a day’s work
Last night before Mark and I went to bed we noticed that our electricity wasn’t working. This morning Mark fired up the generator. He tried checking our fuse box and everything, but couldn’t find what the problem was. I went out to feed the pigs and saw Karl already in the barn. When he found out we didn’t have electricity he went to look at our situation with Mark and discovered that the problem was in the electricity coming from the cabin where we’re hooked up. Continue reading
New windshield
When we took our RV in to get the new windshield this morning, Bob the body shop man discovered that ours is the kind that has to be cut out and the new one glued in. He almost turned us away. His son was willing to tackle the challenge but told us we’d need to leave it at the shop all day. Continue reading
Walkabout
All Mark and I are waiting for now is to get our new windshield installed. It finally arrived at the body shop today and will be installed tomorrow. In the meantime, I felt the need to go for a walk today so I convinced Mark to take me on a photo shoot. Here’s the result: Continue reading
