The furnace guys came around 8:30 this morning to put the ductwork in. Apparently, at 12:20, the delivery people tried to deliver our new tub, but with the furnace truck in the driveway, I guess they decided not to drop it off. I was out getting lunch for the young men and me so I didn’t know about until I found their note tucked into my screen door. And at 1:30, Bill Curran came to work some more on our bathroom vanity. Our new thermostat!
I took yesterday (the 9th) off to celebrate my birthday. Mark was kind enough to take me wherever I wanted to go all day yesterday. This was dinner at the Sister Bay Bowl!
There was an ad last week in our local newspaper, The Pulse, regarding a pre-demolition sale that was going to happen this weekend at a resort in Sturgeon Bay. Mark and I decided to go and see if there was anything we could use for our house. Continue reading
A couple of days ago, we signed a contract to get a new furnace installed, including new ductwork. That will happen on May 14th and 15th. I would have preferred sooner since we are heating the house with our wood stove, but the installers are busy trying to help folks who had their heating systems damaged during this past winter. As you know, we arrived home on the Saturday before Easter, and we’ve been busy ever since. Mark’s business doesn’t begin until May 1st when all the campgrounds open, so he is taking advantage of this time to get some things done around the house. So am I. Continue reading

Tax season is over!!! The only sad part was leaving our friends at Northwest Community Friends Church. I don’t think we actually got out of Tucson until sometime around noon, but we anticipated that and only planned a four-hour day on the road. Continue reading
