I’m writing at the end of the day, so I know most of you won’t get my Easter greeting until Monday, but every day should be like Easter in our hearts, so it’s still fitting!
I walked into my church a few minutes early this morning, and the pastor and several of the other regulars came up and gave me hugs and said it is so good to have me back. I am so glad to be back!
This morning started out with our song leader singing a beautiful Easter song from the back of the sanctuary. The service was wonderful, and after the service, a guest who was sitting in my pew started telling me her story, and we found we had a lot in common. I was glad to have met her. She’s from out of the area so I may never see her again, but I enjoyed the visit.
After Mark and I got home from church, we put on work clothes and started to tackle the yard. We have a lot we want to do, but I don’t know if we can accomplish it all this year.
Then my son called and we talked for a couple hours. He and Sage will be coming to visit at the end of May. When they have come the last couple of summers, I have tried to plan all kinds of site seeing, but last summer I learned that my son enjoys quality time with me more than a lot of activity, so I told him that maybe they can help with our remodel. He hesitated for a moment when I said that and said, “We’ll see.” I kind of get the idea that isn’t considered “quality” time. Whatever happens, I’m looking forward to their visit.
I hope your Easter went as well as ours. He is risen! He is risen indeed!
