I’ve taken a lot of interesting pictures today, but it’s too late to get them off my camera and post them. Mostly, I just wanted to let you know where we are tonight and that we are still alive! Continue reading
From Las Cruces, NM
Tax season is over!!! The only sad part was leaving our friends at Northwest Community Friends Church. I don’t think we actually got out of Tucson until sometime around noon, but we anticipated that and only planned a four-hour day on the road. Continue reading
7 days and counting…
I don’t remember when the last time that I wrote was, but things have been so busy at H&R Block, I’m lucky I remember my name. 🙁 Continue reading
A Mountain
I know it’s been a while since I last wrote when my mother calls to see if I’m still alive. It’s just that at this point in the tax season, life doesn’t seem all that interesting. However, Mark gave me something to write about today… Continue reading
Old news is better than none…
A couple of weekends ago, Mark and I went to an RV show at the Pima County Fairgrounds. Most of what we saw was redundant and not very exciting, but we saw two 5th Wheels that we fell in love with and they were reasonably priced. Only problem is, we owe more on our current RV than it is worth, so all we could do is drool. Continue reading
There’s snow in them thar hills: Part 2
I’m sitting on hold with the IRS, so I thought this would be a good time to write about what Mark and I did on Saturday. We took a day trip up to Mount Lemmon which looks like it’s practically in our back yard but took forever to get to by road. Continue reading
There’s snow in them thar hills!
Today was sunny without a cloud in the sky. It was still cool, but by Tuesday we’re supposed to be back up in the 70s. I took this picture from our “backyard” before all the snow melts: Continue reading
Snow? In Tucson?!
While Mark and I were eating breakfast this morning, he looked out our front door window and said, “It’s snowing!” I left early for work, not being sure how well Arizonans drive in snow. It almost looked as though they don’t. There wasn’t much traffic on the road. Continue reading
Biking along the Rillito River
Two or three weeks ago, Mark was working at a campground and he pulled into an empty lot across the street from the campground to let Tucson do her business. She started wandering out into the desert and he followed her. Something caught his eye so he walked over to see what it was and found a recumbent tricycle in pretty good condition lying out there. It needed some repairs to the seat covers, both the seat and the seat back, but other than that, it was usable. He brought it home and we fixed it up. Ever since then, he’s been wanting to go on a bike ride with me. Continue reading
Zzzzz…
I know it seems like I’ve dropped off the face of the earth for the last couple of weeks, but I have a good reason. I’ve been working. The last two weeks, H&R Block has been in peak season. I have been working four-day weeks, but in calculating my hours for the pay period yesterday, I discovered I had worked a little over 99 hours! Continue reading
