Hey, everbody!! It’s Me!!!
Denise is feeling a bit overwhelmed and asked if I could do her blog for her tonight. She wanted to write it last night, but the excitement of our boat ride caused her to run out of steam, even before she had time to finish editing all the pictures she took from our excursion.
Yesterday was Mother’s Day and I should have wished all you mothers out there a happy one, but I was too busy enjoying mine. Sorry! Today was my 60th birthday. Today we crossed the Mackinac Bridge into the Upper Peninsula (UP) of Michigan. We can now say that we have slept in all forty-nine continental states and we’ve seen four of the five Great Lakes. (We saw Lake Huron while crossing the bridge today. The only one we haven’t seen yet is Lake Superior.) Continue reading

I have been so busy of late that I haven’t had time to write about all the things I’ve been busy doing, so I’m going to remedy that now. I haven’t sent many pictures lately because I’ve been having technical difficulties with both my camera and my laptop, but tonight I mean to rectify the situation. Besides sewing and quilting, I’ve also joined a photography club, and I’m learning a bit about ways to improve my photography through the way I shoot pictures and also through the editing process. This morning we met with Mary Beth and she took us on a tour of all the places we’ll be cleaning. When we first talked with her in our phone interview, she said we’d be cleaning the bath houses, and I thought she said we’d be cleaning the activity center. Today I realized she said the activity centers! Remember all those shops I mentioned before? The lapidary shop, the stained glass shop, the art center, etc, etc? No wonder it’s going to be a forty hour a week job! Continue reading
