Hotel, motel and resort etiquette
Some of you may remember that last fall I wrote a piece on “Public restroom etiquette”. If you missed it, you can go back on my website (www.denisefuller.com) to October 9, 2015 and read it. Now that we are coming down to our last couple weeks here, I want to write about “Hotel, motel, and resort etiquette”… any place that provides clean, white linens for your stay. I will refer to them as a resort below since Sun N Fun is a resort, but it applies to all. Continue reading
My better half
Ever since Mark had his vertigo attack, people have been telling me about a new treatment for vertigo. Vertigo is caused by crystals in the fluid in your inner ear that somehow end up where they aren’t supposed to be, and the treatment is to move the head around in such a way as to get them back in place. Mark had a chiropractic appointment this morning and the chiropractor did this type of treatment for him. Continue reading
The LA Times story by John Glionna

First day on evening hours
I’m going to be short and sweet tonight. As of today, we are considered trained enough to go it alone. Our hours are now 11:30-8:00. Continue reading
Filling in
One of the regulars from Housekeeping was out today, so Mark and I were assigned to cover her day. I thought that the two of us would get the work of one person done in half the time. That didn’t end up being the case. Continue reading
First day on the job
We had only been working half a day when our boss, Mary Beth, asked Mark if he was sure he wanted to work in Wisconsin next summer. This was because she found out his background is in security and she could use a good security person next summer! We assured her we still plan to go back to Wisconsin. Continue reading
