This being Sunday, today began with Scripture reading and prayer. I just can’t get over the fact that Steve and Coop are so open about this organization being built on faith in God. How many organizations that aren’t specifically church related actually include God in the course of their business meetings? I admire them for doing this. Continue reading

NRVIA training
We had an opportunity to sleep in this morning which helped considerably when we went to the training this afternoon. The training ran from 1:00 to about 5:45 and it mostly covered stuff we had already learned about how to do an inspection report. There have been some improvements made to the template even since we did our mock inspections this summer, so it was good to see those. They also acknowledged some of the glitches I had been having trouble with when I did the reports from our mock inspections but didn’t seem to have fixes for those yet. Continue reading
From Heber Springs, AR
One problem with having to be somewhere at a certain time is that you don’t have time to really stop for pictures. Mark and I had a long push today to make it for the 2nd Annual NRVIA Conference which starts tomorrow. Actually, tomorrow is a training for me and the conference itself starts on Saturday. At least we get to stay in one place for a few nights, which is lovely. It means we get to take things out of the sinks and actually use them and bump out both slide outs so that the RV feels more spacious again. Continue reading
Final weekend in Door County
I was sick for a week with the “company cold” (the staff has been passing it around), and this week Mark got it. We’ve been working on trying to get packed up to leave and campers keep coming and won’t be leaving till the day before we do, so things have been busy. Still, I’ve taken some time the last couple days to do some fun things while Mark had to stay home nursing his cold. Continue reading
Odds and ends
I was told tonight that I need to post a new blog entry. I don’t have anything earthshaking to report, but here’s what’s been going on and why my posts have been a bit more sparse lately: Continue reading
Kimba’s vet visit
I am beginning to see a trend in the Door County medical field. Saturday morning I tried to go to the Aurora Nor-Door Clinic that was supposed to be open from 9:00-noon on Saturdays, but they were closed. Today we needed a vet for Kimba and I called one whose advertising said he’d make house calls — in fact the name of his clinic is Pets-At-Home — but he asked us to come to his home. Ah well, you do what you have to do! Continue reading
Happy Anniversary, Baby! Got you on my mind…
Today was Mark’s and my anniversary. Yep, seven years ago today we eloped! So how did we spend our anniversary? We did a quick job of morning rounds and then we… Continue reading
The best laid plans…
Today was to have been our touring day and we loaded our bicycles on the back of the truck, but we never got “a round tuit”. We did, however, take pictures of various stops we made on our way to and from the VA in Green Bay. Here are today’s pictures… Continue reading
To Green Bay and back
Mark had an appointment in Green Bay yesterday so we made the nearly two hour trip there for the day. He had started fasting after 7:00 the previous night and his appointment wasn’t set till 12:30 so we were hoping he could have the lab work done early, but no such luck at this VA. By the time he finally got to eat it was about 2:30! At least we got some errands done before his appointment since we were in “the big city” so early. Continue reading
New bike!
Just a quickie to brag on what my husband did tonight: He bought me a new bicycle because I’ve been trying to get more active and get in shape again. I’ve been doing a fair amount of walking since I’ve gotten my SparkPeople Activity Tracker, but it will track bicycling too. Plus, Mark got me an odometer that tracks calories burned and distance and stuff like that. He is so supportive of my desire to become fit again!
