Job interview and etc.

I showed the pictures of Mark blow-torching the cellar doors yesterday so that he could get in and turn on the water.  I failed to mention that when he tried to turn on the water pump, there was a crack and water sprayed everywhere, so we don’t have water to the house yet.  This also means we don’t have heat in the house because our registers run water through to heat the house.  Mark called a plumber this morning and they said they’d try to make it to our house by this afternoon, but it didn’t happen.  Hopefully, they can come and fix the leak tomorrow morning. Mark’s last day at work was last Saturday and mine was today.  Mark has been doing things to the RV to prepare for our trip to the frozen north.  He resealed the roof, patched leaks, caulked, put our new (to us) topper over the bedroom slide out, and began packing things back into the basement of the RV. We’re here!  Thank you to those of you who were praying for safety for our trip.  I had a training to get to at 1:00 today, so we felt a little rushed.  We left Phoenix at 8:50 am.  The temperature was 49°.  Remember me saying I didn’t think I was going to need a sweater until I got back to Wisconsin?  I’m re-thinking that!  The temperature got up into the 70’s this afternoon, but when I came out of my training it was cooler and more comfortable.  Nights in the desert are colder, so I’m not putting my sweaters away yet.
