Today we touched on three states: Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. The weather was extremely wet and windy, but we intrepid travelers managed to get some sightseeing in before dark. I must say, though, that I’ve noticed in the last several days that the sky seems to start darkening around 3:00 in the afternoon. It may not be completely dark till 5:00, but it does make for some rather dismal pictures. Continue reading

Palmyra, NY
This is the part of the trip Mark has been looking forward to. We have been working chronologically backward through his church history. A couple years ago we visited Temple Square in Salt Lake City. Last Spring we visited Nauvoo, IL where Joseph Smith was killed. Today we visited Palmyra, NY where Joseph Smith reportedly had his vision and received the golden plates. Continue reading
From Paducah, KY
I haven’t mentioned that everywhere we stop to spend the night, we’ve been leaving RVIC (RV Inspection Connection) brochures. This morning I left a couple in the office where we were staying and the owner of the campground said she has a son that is working at Home Depot that she needs to be able to get back working in the campground. She said maybe he could learn to do RV inspections, so I went back to our RV and got a brochure for her to show him on how to become an RV inspector. I hope he does get the training. Steve and Coop need more inspectors. Continue reading
We’re not the only ones who work around here!
I thought I should tell a little bit about what the others do around here since the season is winding down. Actually it isn’t going to feel much like it’s winding down this weekend because we have sixty three campers checking in for Labor Day weekend today. Continue reading
A promise for spring

The big storm
I don’t know if it made national news yesterday (Sunday) or not, but we were hit with a storm the likes of which I haven’t seen since the Columbus Day storm in the early 1960’s. Those of you in the Pacific NW will know the one I’m referring to. Continue reading
Touring Door County: Ellison Bay
Judy, the President of the Wisconsin denisefuller.com Fan Club, has recommended a couple times that I visit Seaquist in Ellison Bay. We did that today as well as seeing several other sites. But first, I have a picture from last night: Continue reading
Forewarning
Today was the last day of our work week, but this weekend isn’t going to be fun and games as usual. Remember all that training Mark got to be an RV inspector? He’s been working on his final training and the next two days he has to do two premier mock inspections. We are going to be so busy I doubt I’ll have time to write, so this is a brief check in. Continue reading
Happy Anniversary, Baby! Got you on my mind…
Today was Mark’s and my anniversary. Yep, seven years ago today we eloped! So how did we spend our anniversary? We did a quick job of morning rounds and then we… Continue reading
Touring Door County: Jacksonport +
Today I had a couple places I wanted to see, but we actually got more in than I had expected. I had seen in the local paper that there’s a Mahjongg group at the YMCA in Fish Creek. I have played the game on the computer so I wanted to see it in real life. Continue reading
