I have been thinking this week about life in the country. I was behind a huge tractor on the back roads I often take home, and he took nearly the whole road. At some point along the road, another large tractor approached us in the opposite direction. You should have seen the two of them trying to pass each other! Continue reading

A few new pics
I was talking with my mother on the phone this morning and told her I had gotten some pictures of a storm we had here last week. She said she would like me to post them on my blog so she could see them. I also took a few pictures last night when Mark and I had a bonfire in our back yard with some more of the tree limbs and things we’ve been trying to get rid of this summer. Continue reading
Sorry about you guys!
At the beginning of this week, our weather turned decidedly autumnal. One night, we had a rip-roaring thunder storm and a deluge to go with it. Our electricity flicked off and on a couple times, but for the most part, it stayed on. I stood under the eaves of the house and tried to get pictures. Continue reading
Becoming extraneous
I am trying to write this blog on my phone because I’m not home. I had gotten back from my father’s party last Tuesday. I am back in Oregon again as of Monday this week. Continue reading
Our 10th anniversary
I didn’t write about this last night because I was obviously busy, but June 13th was Mark’s and my tenth wedding anniversary. I had thought for several months about what I’d like to do for such a momentous occasion, but in the end we had to scale down our plans. It still turned out to be good. Continue reading
I feel good!
I have been sick with a bad cold which I caught from Mark who caught it from Jamey last week. Today was the first day I felt well enough to leave the house. Continue reading
Family visit
I saw Jamey and Sage off this afternoon, so now there’s time to reflect on their visit… Continue reading
Yard work and a meeting
It has been so cold in the house that generally I sit in front of the fireplace in my winter coat and stoke the fire all day. It was every bit as cold in the house this morning, but there was a warm breeze outside. I opened all the windows and doors to let the heat in, and then I went outside to work in the yard. Continue reading
HOME, SWEET HOME!
Mark and I could feel our excitement rising throughout the day today as we got closer and closer to home. Even when I had a migraine, I was glad to be back in familiar territory, and Mark was positively giddy! Tucson was every bit as happy as we’d been hoping all along she’d be. I guess the cats were happy too, but they were too suave to show it. Continue reading
From Denver, CO
The weather was the big news today. We left Albuquerque at 10:15 this morning and the temperature was 56°. We had planned to head for Falcon, Colorado today and skirt around Denver, but when we checked the forecast for both locations, Denver was at least going to be above freezing tonight. At one point today, we almost despaired of getting here. Continue reading
