Mark’s class ended late last evening due to his final exam. We didn’t actually make it to our lot in Kerrville until after 1:00am, and we didn’t pull inside the gate. We didn’t hook up to electricity, we didn’t have any propane, and we didn’t have any water. It was very cold last night. Continue reading

Final days of school
I didn’t get a chance to mention that all of us women were invited over to the Cooper’s RV yesterday afternoon for a “Kitchen class”. I had no idea what a kitchen class would be. They have a brand new Redwood and it’s very fancy but out of our price range. The kitchen class mostly consisted of showing off various features of the kitchen. Then one of the women changed the subject to questions she had about this week of training and things got a lot more interesting. I learned more from that discussion than I did from the class. Making the most of the day
I have heard it said that if you waste time you can’t get it back. We learned something similar in class this morning, but I’ll get to that in a moment. Continue reading
From San Antonio, TX
This morning was our last at Falster Farm. We fed all the animals one last time and I took my last pictures of the place. We managed to get out through the pasture and get my car loaded onto the tow dolly, but not without wrecking the bumper of my car. We’ve been having a heck of a time with our vehicles lately! All in a day’s work
Last night before Mark and I went to bed we noticed that our electricity wasn’t working. This morning Mark fired up the generator. He tried checking our fuse box and everything, but couldn’t find what the problem was. I went out to feed the pigs and saw Karl already in the barn. When he found out we didn’t have electricity he went to look at our situation with Mark and discovered that the problem was in the electricity coming from the cabin where we’re hooked up. From Winnsboro, TX
Tonight we are staying in a cabin on Falster Farm (http://falsterfarm.com/). We had to leave our RV out on the road for the night. I’ll explain later. Continue reading
New windshield
When we took our RV in to get the new windshield this morning, Bob the body shop man discovered that ours is the kind that has to be cut out and the new one glued in. He almost turned us away. His son was willing to tackle the challenge but told us we’d need to leave it at the shop all day. Continue reading
I am woman, I am strong!
This is a question for my female readers: Do you ever feel like when you tell a man you’re concerned about something, he pats your head and says, “There, there! Nothing to worry your pretty little head about?” Continue reading
Thank you!
Thank you to all who sent prayers and well-wishes for Mark. His baritone has turned to bass and his appetite is better. He still has a cough but he’s going to try returning to work tomorrow. Continue reading
Another one bites the dust
Well, not quite “bites the dust”, but Mark is singing a very deep bass this week. He has something bronchial going on and missed work today. He’ll probably miss another day or two as well the way he’s going. I took him to the doctor this morning and she said something is going around Tok that she hasn’t quite figured out yet. Please pray for Mark.
