On Tuesday, the 13th, I got my second COVID shot, and as anticipated, I felt crappy on Wednesday. I had such a bad migraine that I ended up in the ER Wednesday afternoon to get an IV. That took time out of our schedule of getting ready to go home. Also, Mark had a roof job that just ended yesterday.

Getting old
First of all, in case I haven’t told some of you, my urology appointment that was scheduled for yesterday got canceled because my doctor’s office sent her referral to the wrong place. We are trying to get that straightened out so I can set up another appointment.

I’m doing something a little different this time. I want to tell you about a woman who has been a friend of mine and an avid reader of this blog practically since I first started writing it — Delores Warner.

I called the urologist’s office this morning and set an appointment for 1:00 next Monday. That’s all the news I have for now, but I’ll keep you posted!
Health update
Thank you to so many of you who wrote and said you are praying for me. I wanted to give a quick update to those who are reading but didn’t write. As it turns out, they have a fundraiser day on the summer solstice every year where people do something in whatever part of the country they’re in to try to raise money for the AA. Cari helped me register to participate and told me that I can do my fundraiser all year if I want, which is what I plan to do.

Mark dropped me off at work around 8:30 this morning because he finally had the supplies he needed to go up and do that job in Winkleman that we checked out a couple of weeks ago. He knew that was going to be a long day for him, especially since it takes and hour and fifteen minutes just to get there. He left me with my bike in case I needed to go home before he could come to pick me up. Continue reading
