You probably thought you’d never hear from me again, didn’t you? I’m sorry it’s been so long – over a month – since I last wrote. I’ve been doing a lot of sewing in my free time, but my son inspired me with an idea to write about!

I am again participating in the Alzheimer’s Association’s fundraiser, The Longest Day – the day we fight to end Alzheimer’s. My website on their page is where you can read about the people I am honoring with my fundraiser and make your donation: http://act.alz.org/goto/wandasjourney. Donations start at $20, but you can give more if you would like to support the Alzheimer’s Association!

At lunchtime today, I had a video chat with Cari Josephson from the Alzheimer’s Association (AA). She had been given my name after I contacted the Association to make a proposal for a fundraiser for them. As it turns out, they have a fundraiser day on the summer solstice every year where people do something in whatever part of the country they’re in to try to raise money for the AA. Cari helped me register to participate and told me that I can do my fundraiser all year if I want, which is what I plan to do.
