Because the fall colors have been so glorious, I was carrying my camera with me to work and to church in case I should see something I had to shoot. Last Sunday, I was driving home from church with my camera on the front seat beside me. I suddenly had to step on the brake and the camera fell off the seat. The next picture I tried to take, the lens wouldn’t focus. 🙁 I have seen all sorts of things since that I would have loved to photograph and share with you, but I can’t. Therefore, I haven’t written. Autumn
I’m not exactly sure which season I like best, but right at the moment, fall is my favorite. People come to the peninsula in October to observe the autumn colors. I have been driving around with my camera for the last week or so in case there’s something I want to shoot, and I’ve been glad to have my camera along many times. Continue reading
Things you seldom see
I have been thinking this week about life in the country. I was behind a huge tractor on the back roads I often take home, and he took nearly the whole road. At some point along the road, another large tractor approached us in the opposite direction. You should have seen the two of them trying to pass each other! Continue reading
A few new pics
I was talking with my mother on the phone this morning and told her I had gotten some pictures of a storm we had here last week. She said she would like me to post them on my blog so she could see them. I also took a few pictures last night when Mark and I had a bonfire in our back yard with some more of the tree limbs and things we’ve been trying to get rid of this summer. Continue reading
From Ellison Bay, WI
We left Bismark around 9:00 this morning and arrived in Ellison Bay around 10:00 tonight. It’s been a long, strange day. Continue reading

Montana is a long state! I think we left Missoula at about 9:15 MT this morning, and we didn’t get to the eastern border until 6:00 this evening. Somewhere in North Dakota, we crossed into the Central time zone to arrive at our hotel around 9:30 CT. Of course, we made a few stops along the route.
From Missoula, MT
This morning, Mark and I packed up the truck and put the dog in the back and headed out. This is the first time in several years that we have traveled east from Portland through the gorge, and I had almost forgotten how beautiful it is. There were signs of the fire that burned in the area, but it is still beautiful and I could barely put my camera down. Continue reading
Back in touch!
I arrived safe and sound in Oregon on Tuesday evening. Sherill and Fred don’t have a computer, so I brought an old hotspot with me and got a new SIM card on Thursday. I had been trying ever since to get back online, but I couldn’t get connected. This morning, I took my laptop and hotspot to a Verizon store and they couldn’t help me get on either. I finally bought a new hotspot, so here I am! Continue reading
Sorry about you guys!
At the beginning of this week, our weather turned decidedly autumnal. One night, we had a rip-roaring thunder storm and a deluge to go with it. Our electricity flicked off and on a couple times, but for the most part, it stayed on. I stood under the eaves of the house and tried to get pictures. Continue reading
August days
One good thing about having a German Shepherd puppy is that I have to go outside more than I did last summer. This month in particular, I’ve been paying close attention to what I see and hear… Continue reading
