Mark and I again agreed to meet at the second light today because I didn’t feel I’d done very well yesterday. Continue reading

Get set…again
Today went a little better. Mark gave me some specific cleaning assignments and I completed them, so I’m feeling better about myself. In the meantime, he managed to get things pretty much ready in the RV and we also got his motorcycle loaded into the pickup truck. We still have a fair amount to do tomorrow, and then we hope to spend the night tomorrow night in the RV so that we can pretty much head out on Monday.
The cone of shame!
I guess I haven’t mentioned yet that we ended up keeping Tucson. I had gotten a call from a neighbor saying that she’d heard of someone who might be interested in meeting Tucson, so I was getting all set to get rid of her, but Mark was really depressed. He loves her. To his credit, he wasn’t going to stop me from giving her away after what she did to me, but he was miserable. I finally told him if he can take her to work with him and everywhere else he goes, he can keep her. He took the passenger seat out of his work truck to accommodate her and he has been good at taking full responsibility for her. Continue reading

R.I.P. Sherill!
This morning I was taking a shower and had just wrapped a towel around myself when Fred walked in with the phone and told me there was an important phone call for me. I took the phone and a man said, “Hello, Denise! I’m Officer Seigler from the King City Police. I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but your sister died this morning.” When I hung up, I told Fred and he burst into tears. The whole family met at the rehab center and sat with Sherill’s body until the undertaker came to take her away. We were all in shock. It has been a rough day, but I want to dedicate the rest of this post to Sherill’s memory. Continue reading
Back in touch!
I arrived safe and sound in Oregon on Tuesday evening. Sherill and Fred don’t have a computer, so I brought an old hotspot with me and got a new SIM card on Thursday. I had been trying ever since to get back online, but I couldn’t get connected. This morning, I took my laptop and hotspot to a Verizon store and they couldn’t help me get on either. I finally bought a new hotspot, so here I am! Continue reading
The Oregon Trail
I’m beginning to leave a trail in the air between Wisconsin and Oregon. I am leaving in the morning to go back to Oregon and I won’t be back to Wisconsin until next spring. Continue reading
Home again
I actually returned home late Tuesday night, but this is the first time I’ve had a chance to sit down and write since I got back. I am at my own computer now, so I have an opportunity to send the pictures I took while I was gone. Continue reading
An act of God
Most of my readers know that I am a Christian from a Christian family, but there are many different beliefs among Christians. It may not surprise you to know that my sister, Sherill, believes in miracles since she was miraculously healed the first time she got multiple myeloma and was in remission for five years. Continue reading
Becoming extraneous
I am trying to write this blog on my phone because I’m not home. I had gotten back from my father’s party last Tuesday. I am back in Oregon again as of Monday this week. Continue reading
