My son and daughter-in-law are here to visit for a couple days. This morning they came to see the house and the yard. Sarah is good at identifying plants and she says she thinks I have grapes and golden raspberries in my yard. She recommended we wait to see whether they are before we consider pulling them out. From La Grande, OR
My last day of work was on Tuesday, the 18th, and Tuesday evening Mark and I began to pack the accumulation of furniture and clothing that family had given us into the back of our truck. Wednesday morning, I took Mark around with me to say goodbye to Mom’s neighbors whom I’d gotten to know. We left Mom’s house and stopped in Vancouver to have lunch with Mark’s mom. Then we headed up to Lynden, WA to get the rest of our stuff out of storage. Continue reading

Pics from Mark and me
This last week I was at my Dad’s house and he kept me so busy I didn’t write much. Mark and I have both had a chance to accumulate some pictures. I’ll start with his first:
Mark’s progress: DePere, WI
I wasn’t able to write last night because I spent the night with my sister and she has no internet. I know… It’s crazy isn’t it? But she and I have our own fun. Continue reading

Money was coming from multiple sources in unexpected ways. But it wasn’t just monetary blessing. I’ve been waiting for months to write about what God is doing for us… Continue reading
Legal!
There have been a couple stressors in my life for a while now, and today I was able to take care of them both in one fell swoop! (Or at least, one fell day.) Part of this involves confession time… Continue reading
Work and school
If you’ve been following for the last few weeks, you know that I’ve been trying to get hired as a receptionist (or client services professional) at H&R Block for several weeks now. I had the paperwork finished, but because the district manager died last month of a heart attack, my paperwork ended up getting booted out of the system. The manager at the Tigard office, Diane, has been helping me get back into the system and I was finally hired on Monday, the 9th. Tuesday was my first full day of work. Continue reading
The eagle has landed!
Several of you have asked me about Mark. He left the day after Christmas and headed south for training in Florida. He arrived at his destination on Thursday, the 5th. On the 6th, he went to check out his new school.
