We have been polling other Workampers for some time about what the best phone service is. We’ve also asked when interviewing for various jobs. One person would say AT&T and another would say Verizon. We had just AT&T, but last night we walked into a Verizon store. Continue reading

Looking toward the future
Mark and I basically stayed home and cleaned house today, but I do have something good to report. Last week I e-mailed a company that has been advertising for beet harvest help in October. Today we received a phone call from the company. The man who spoke to us on the phone asked us a few questions and said he’ll send us a couple applications! Continue reading
Running around like chickens with our heads cut off
For the past couple days we’ve been doing a lot of running around with not much to show for it. Continue reading
Busy, busy, busy!
This morning Mark and I got up and drove over to Aunt Marg’s house where we had left the U-Haul truck for the night. We picked it up and took it to our new storage unit. Our old storage unit was 10×10 and the U-Haul truck was a 14 foot. Our new storage unit is 10×20. We’ve filled all the walls, but the center is still open. All done!
All week Mark and I have been telling each other: “Only four days left.” “Only three days left.” “Only two days left.” “Only one day left.” Continue reading

Two weeks to go!

A good day
On our way to work this morning the temperature was in the 40’s and it was still windy, but by our first break at 10:00 it was cold. There were big fat snow flakes and the snow was piled up about two or three inches. It was beautiful! Continue reading
Hump Day
I know people usually call Wednesday “Hump Day”, but today ended our third week at Amazon and we only have three weeks left, so today was Hump Day for us. 🙂 Continue reading
A bit of a scare!
This morning when we got to work, I put our lunch pail in one of the refrigerators in the break room, as usual. At our first break, I couldn’t find it. Continue reading
