Today was a spiritual day in many ways. I wanted to take Mark to Arlington National Cemetery today while we finally had full sun and then Denise Fuller invited me to an Acts 2 event that friends of hers had invited her to. Mark and I both had a sense of reverence all day. Continue reading

We’re still a little sore from all the walking we did yesterday and we wanted to let someone else do the driving for a change. We have pre-paid several tickets for things to see and do so we did two of them today. Continue reading
Places to go, things to do, people to see!
This morning Mark and I took the truck into downtown Washington DC to do some sightseeing. But first we had to find parking, and by then we were hungry so we had lunch. We were on 6th St a block from Independence Ave. We had a long way to go from where we parked. Continue reading

It’s been kind of an exciting day. The most exciting part was getting to hear the voice of my twin, Denise Fuller, on the other end of my phone line this evening! We are in Maryland near Washington DC and we will have five days here to explore and also to spend time with her. She and I have never met yet, but we’ve been emailing each other for about a year and a half and becoming fast friends. I’ll get into that more in the next few days. In the meantime, here’s today’s news… Continue reading

It was a relatively short trip today from Fort Dix, New Jersey to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware. It would have been even shorter if we hadn’t run into some problems at the toll bridge between New Jersey and Delaware. Continue reading

Oy vey! Such a day we’ve had! I had not mentioned last night that we were camping in a rest area. I had discovered when I was planning this trip, that some rest areas are set up for overnight camping and have dump stations. They are free! It was unfortunate that the camper next to us made a lot of noise around 2:00 AM before pulling out. Still, it was a worthy experiment. Continue reading

This morning at grace, Mark prayed for the people of Paris. I am so out of touch, I had to ask him what happened in Paris. In my scripture reading today I was reading James 2:11-13… Continue reading

This morning’s drive was our shortest yet. It took us just under an hour to get from Middleborough, MA to Middletown, RI! We plan on staying here for two nights so I can research some of my family history. By the way, before we left our campsite this morning, we found out that the weather we experienced yesterday was only a very mild nor’easter. I’d hate to see a normal one! Continue reading

Today we touched on three states: Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. The weather was extremely wet and windy, but we intrepid travelers managed to get some sightseeing in before dark. I must say, though, that I’ve noticed in the last several days that the sky seems to start darkening around 3:00 in the afternoon. It may not be completely dark till 5:00, but it does make for some rather dismal pictures. Continue reading

Sometimes dreams really do come true! When I was in high school, a friend of mine and I got our hands on a road atlas and began dreaming about taking a trip around the country. One place I desperately wanted go was Portland, Maine so that I could say I’d been to Portland’s on both sides of the country. Today I fulfilled that dream, in a manner of speaking. But my sister, Sherill, had also advised me on other places in Maine to see. We sort of got to do that. Continue reading
