We headed north yesterday and there wasn’t anything particularly remarkable about our trip, but we landed at Burt Lake State Park for the night and took lots of pictures of the sunset over the lake. Mark and I didn’t set out until mid-afternoon today, and we stopped first at the quilt shop just up the road from our RV campground. The woman in the shop has lived in both the St Petersburg area of Florida and in Door County, WI, so she was familiar with where we’ve been and where we are going. It’s a small world! We left the Indianapolis area this morning, and instead of traveling on the freeway, we took US-31 north past Kokomo and South Bend. On this route we were traveling through more rural settings and it was peaceful. Continue reading

It was so good to sleep in our own bed again last night! Feeling more rested this morning, we tried to stop at Camping World to get air in the tires of the RV, but no one was there who could do it for us so we commenced our journey. Continue reading
It’s not easy sleeping in a cabin with a hard mattress and two cats who are loose around you all night. By the time morning rolled around, we were ready to get out of there. It took three trips over to where our RV was for Mark to transport the cats and our stuff back, and the second time he returned to the cabin he told me that the part for our RV had just come in. By the time I was able to go over, the guys were saying the RV would be done in an hour and a half. Mark and I decided to check out the town while we waited.
