This has been our first truly leisure weekend in Tucson this year, so I have some pictures to share. Continue reading

From Stockton, CA
No problems with the RV today, but there were a couple things that kept the day from being routine. First of all, we had to give Tucson a trazodone pill to calm her down. It worked. She was fairly quiet all day after it kicked in! Continue reading
Umm…On your mark…?
OK, so Mark and I were talking about things today and he says we probably could have left by Sunday except that we need to stop in Green Bay to pick up a part so the RV furnace will work, and the supplier won’t be open on Sunday. It’s looking like we won’t be leaving Door County until Monday.
Butterfly float at Fall Fest won 1st prize!
OK, so it’s not the Rose Festival Parade or the Macy’s Parade, but we know how to have parades in Door County. My boss at Door County North (where I work in the Visitor Center) wanted to advertise the things the Ellison Bay Beautification Project has been doing in downtown Ellison Bay, particularly the new butterfly mural on one of the buildings. So she organized a butterfly float for the Fall Fest Parade in Sister Bay this last weekend and someone caught it on video. My boss, Mickie, is the leading butterfly… Continue reading

Our 10th anniversary
I didn’t write about this last night because I was obviously busy, but June 13th was Mark’s and my tenth wedding anniversary. I had thought for several months about what I’d like to do for such a momentous occasion, but in the end we had to scale down our plans. It still turned out to be good. Continue reading
Family visit
I saw Jamey and Sage off this afternoon, so now there’s time to reflect on their visit… Continue reading
Camp Zion
The newest neighbors on my block are Christians, and the husband, Matthew, works at Camp Zion. I’ve been talking with his wife, Hannah, about it and had a desire to see it myself, thinking perhaps the kids at my church would like to go to camp there. Today I called Dale and Carol, the managers of the camp to ask if I could come, get a tour, and take pictures and they said yes. I brought Tucson thinking I’d leave her in the truck while I looked around, but they welcomed her as well. Continue reading
