Tonight was the monthly Menno gathering at the Graber’s house just down the road from us. There was a guest speaker from First Mennonite who has a project called ALICE Arts. Continue reading

Our “work” this week
Mark finished working last weekend, so all this week he has been trying to prepare our RV for travelling. In the meantime, I’ve been preparing to say all my goodbyes. Continue reading
Thanks to the PBC quilt group!
In the last two days I have been overwhelmed by the kindness of my quilt group from Peninsula Bible Church. The church is in Palo Alto, and I’m thinking that most of the women in the group also live there. Continue reading
OPB interview
I am listed as a subject “expert” with Oregon Public Broadcasting; the radio part of it. As such, I periodically receive questions that they send out to all their experts. Most of the questions don’t pertain to me so I ignore them, but occasionally I see one I can answer. Continue reading
Our first RV Christmas
In my last post I mentioned that I didn’t have Christmas till I was 9 or 10 years old. Well, every year since then I have been with family for Christmas…until this year. I wasn’t sure what Christmas would be like in our new lifestyle. We had to make some adjustments. Continue reading
Glad tidings!
God works in mysterious ways! Mark and I were settling in to life here in California. I love my new church and the quilting group I’m part of and the Menno gatherings once a month at the Graeber home. I joined a women’s Bible study that I hold very dear, and had just started in another women’s group at my church. But God has directed us on. Continue reading
Baby, it’s cold outside!

However, we’ve had a sort of breakthrough this week. Tuesday evening we participated in a webinar by Workamper News on RV maintenance. We submitted a question when we registered for the webinar and the speaker, Terry Cooper, answered it. Continue reading
Christmas preparations
I have been working, lately, on Christmas gifts. Today I finished the project I was working on and still had most of the afternoon before time to go to work, so I started decorating for Christmas. While I was working inside, Mark was cutting up that tree that fell across the road from our place last weekend. I have pictures: Continue reading
Stormy weather
Yesterday we had high winds on our mountain. Last night it began to rain. Did I say “rain”? I meant it began to pour! When I woke up this morning and was waiting for Mark to wake up, I opened the curtain at the head of our bed and watched the trees whipping around in the wind and the rain flowing off our awning in torrents. Continue reading
Fulltiming in an RV
We had a whole day off, and how did we spend it? Well, Mark has been trying to fix our heating and cooling, and this weekend (as in Monday and Tuesday) he has it all torn apart. Club Workamper, to which we belong, now has an online parts store, so we looked up how much it would cost to just replace the unit that is having problems. It’s Continue reading
