This is the first chance I’ve had to blog since last weekend, and I want to tell you all about the exciting duck race! Continue reading
Father’s Day Weekend and beyond…
For Father’s Day Weekend, a church group basically took over Marval and they had their own activities planned, so we didn’t get as much business in the Activity Center. Monday was also pretty quiet, but things were beginning to pick up again yesterday when we had our last day of work for the week. Continue reading
Our anniversary
Today was Mark’s and my fifth wedding anniversary. Yep, five years ago we eloped with a Quaker minister and two LDS missionaries for our witnesses. It’s been the best five years (plus the two we knew each other before we got married) of my life! 🙂 Continue reading

The siren
First of all, we’re okay. For those of you back home, the storm alert system here works, and Jeff and John drive around and check on everyone who might not have heard it. Continue reading
Our weekend
Yesterday, Wednesday, we went down to the Activity Center as plain old campers so that I could spread out some fabric I got for a skirt I want to make for Western Weekend. I also wanted to be there in case Cathy had any questions because it was her first time of running the place by herself. She did have a few questions, but on the whole she seemed to be doing okay. Memorial Day Weekend in review
Now that Memorial Day Weekend is officially over, there are few enough campers here that I can blog again! We had a hectic but fun few days. Continue reading
