One or two of you have mentioned that you’ve missed me writing this month. We’ve been trying to get Ashton through the Freshman year of high school. Ashton was way behind when we first picked Ashton up, but we pushed Ashton to catch up and Friday was the last day to turn assignments in. We’re just waiting to see the report card now, but we know that Ashton will be passing almost all of the classes, hopefully with a good margin.

From home
I’m pooped! We got home and immediately had to move out of the RV so that there is room for Ashton to put clothes and food away. So much to do; so little time! That’s all for tonight.
From…Tucson, AZ
On Tuesday, the 13th, I got my second COVID shot, and as anticipated, I felt crappy on Wednesday. I had such a bad migraine that I ended up in the ER Wednesday afternoon to get an IV. That took time out of our schedule of getting ready to go home. Also, Mark had a roof job that just ended yesterday.

I just got some disheartening news from our neighbors across the street in Wisconsin. The snows are beginning to recede enough that they were able to take the key to our house that we left with them last fall and go inside to have a look around. Here are some pictures of what they found:

First of all, in case I haven’t told some of you, my urology appointment that was scheduled for yesterday got canceled because my doctor’s office sent her referral to the wrong place. We are trying to get that straightened out so I can set up another appointment.

I called the urologist’s office this morning and set an appointment for 1:00 next Monday. That’s all the news I have for now, but I’ll keep you posted!
Health update
Thank you to so many of you who wrote and said you are praying for me. I wanted to give a quick update to those who are reading but didn’t write. I still plan to get an appointment with the urologist, but I am encouraged that there was nothing visible in the CT scan that might have been serious and the bleeding stopped as quickly as it started. Your prayers were a great comfort to me! I will let you know if my urologist has any ideas about what happened.
Another trip to the ER
Last night, I went to the bathroom before going to bed and I came out to ask Mark if he’d thrown some old coffee out in the toilet. He said “No” and I kind of laughed. I wasn’t laughing this morning when it happened again.

At lunchtime today, I had a video chat with Cari Josephson from the Alzheimer’s Association (AA). She had been given my name after I contacted the Association to make a proposal for a fundraiser for them. As it turns out, they have a fundraiser day on the summer solstice every year where people do something in whatever part of the country they’re in to try to raise money for the AA. Cari helped me register to participate and told me that I can do my fundraiser all year if I want, which is what I plan to do.
