I’m running low on battery, so this will be a quicky. Thank you to all those of you who have been praying for Mark and me. I got a call from him this evening saying he has stopped for the night in Biloxi, MS. That means he still has a nine-hour drive ahead of him tomorrow. I kept busy today and I’ll be working tomorrow, so I’m doing better. Just, please, pray him home!

From St Augustine, FL
There’s an interesting story about how we happen to be in St Augustine, FL tonight. When we arrived in Edisto Island, SC and they were confirming the length of our stay there, it occurred to me that I hadn’t made a reservation to be anywhere on this evening. Somehow in my planning for this trip I had missed this one night. Continue reading
Hilton Head, SC
Dad has been saying for years that Hilton Head is one of his favorite places in the country. This morning we headed south to check it out for ourselves. It was nearly a two-hour drive to get there. We had no idea what to look for there, so we tried stopping at the first welcome center we saw, and we found that it was closed and completely empty. Not a good sign! Continue reading

This morning we went to church with Steve and Bernice. They had warned us that it was big. Even at that, I wasn’t prepared for how huge it is. It’s called Northland Distributed Church because simultaneously with one of the two services in this building, it’s being broadcast (distributed) live to branch churches all over the country.
Farmer’s market
For those of you in colder climes who are starved for color and light, we went with Steve and Bernice to their favorite farmer’s market this morning and I took lots of pictures. Continue reading
The Warbird Air Museum
Mark and I slept in this morning, and when we got up and ready we called my cousin, Steve. He and Bernice came to spend the day with us to do whatever we wanted to do. Mark wanted to see the Warbird Air Museum. Continue reading

This being Thanksgiving, there wasn’t much traffic on the roads. I glory in the change of scenery and the warmth. This is the first Thanksgiving ever where I wore short sleeves and shorts to dinner! Continue reading
From Brunswick, GA
We crossed two state borders today, skipping over South Carolina. We will be back in a week or so, but we are in a hurry to spend Thanksgiving with my cousin and his family in Orlando tomorrow. By the way, Happy Thanksgiving to you all. I trust you will be with family and enjoying the food, the fellowship, and “the game” (whichever one you watch). Continue reading
From Fort Dix, NJ
Oy vey! Such a day we’ve had! I had not mentioned last night that we were camping in a rest area. I had discovered when I was planning this trip, that some rest areas are set up for overnight camping and have dump stations. They are free! It was unfortunate that the camper next to us made a lot of noise around 2:00 AM before pulling out. Still, it was a worthy experiment. Continue reading

This morning at grace, Mark prayed for the people of Paris. I am so out of touch, I had to ask him what happened in Paris. In my scripture reading today I was reading James 2:11-13… Continue reading
