Last night I learned that there is a training I need to attend tomorrow at 1:00 pm, so we pushed today to get to Phoenix. We left Wheeler Ridge this morning at 9:05 am. The temperature was 59°. We try to avoid Los Angeles as much as possible even in the best of times, so today we came up with our own route to I-10. Continue reading
I’m going to make this quick because I find myself falling asleep in front of my computer. A week on the road and crossing two time zones plus a change to Standard Time seems to be taking a toll on me.

Mark picked me up at work this evening and brought me home. This is unusual because I have usually been getting a ride home with one of my co-workers named Kat, but she had to work later than me this evening. This morning dawned a bright and beautiful day. I believe it actually got up into the early 70’s today. We went to Friends Community Church where there were representatives from the Gideon Bible Society speaking. I suggested they talk to my boss who usually puts out Bibles for people to take free if they want. Continue reading
My son and daughter-in-law are here to visit for a couple days. This morning they came to see the house and the yard. Sarah is good at identifying plants and she says she thinks I have grapes and golden raspberries in my yard. She recommended we wait to see whether they are before we consider pulling them out. I can’t remember if I had mentioned that the campground we stayed at last night was Blue Earth Campground. Nice place! And the hosts were Sean and Marian. Nice people! We stopped on our way out to dump our garbage and Sean came out to wish us well. I gave him a Christian hug. I don’t think he was expecting that, but he didn’t object. Continue reading
