One of the Workampers here, Lee, has her son and 2 young grandchildren visiting, so she invited everyone to come with them to the aquarium in Monterey. Her car was full of family, and Joe and Glenda drive a pickup truck, so we convoyed there with three cars. (Adam and Beth couldn’t make it.) Continue reading

Lake Tahoe
Mark and I had finished up some business in Carson City by about 12:30 this afternoon and hit the road. As soon as we crossed the border back into California in South Lake Tahoe, we looked for a place where we could stop and access the lake. Oh, man, if you’ve never been to Lake Tahoe, you’ve got to go! Continue reading
From Carson City, NV
It was pointed out to me that I failed to mention in yesterday’s post that I actually made it back home. I made it back, worked my shift, had dinner (mostly prepared by Mark), and we invited Adam and Beth over for dessert. Mark made root beer floats and Adam and Beth got to meet our cats. Maybe I should change religions…
For anyone who is just tuning in, I’ll briefly recap what has been happening in the last week or so. Continue reading
My other job
My husband, Mark, returned from his last run as a long haul trucker on Monday. I chose to become a freelance proofreader/copy editor so that I could be free to be with him in whatever the future holds. We have a phone interview tomorrow morning with an organization where we’d be traveling around the country together. We have also been Continue reading
My laptop wish list
I think it’s been about a year since I had a laptop. When mine died I couldn’t afford to get a new one. (I don’t use credit cards!) I have been saving for one, and I have enough saved up now to buy one. I’ll need one to take with me when Mark and I take our act on the road. I’ve been giving some thought to what features I’d like my new laptop to have, and here is Continue reading
