This morning we got up and got the RV all set up for another move. We left Silver Falls State Park and came up to “Our Park” in Oregon City — Clackamette Park at the confluence of the Willamette River and the Clackamas River. I said in my last post I’d tell the story of how this came to be our park. Continue reading

I’m sorry for your loss!
This afternoon Mark was invited to watch the Superbowl game with the men in my family (and my younger sister), and I picked my mom up and took her to my older sister’s house where we caught up on each other’s news. I’m not a sports fan, but I know that the San Francisco 49ers lost to the Baltimore Ravens 31-34. I want to send my consolations to all my friends in Saratoga, Los Gatos and Palo Alto and let you all know that my family was rooting for the 49ers. Continue reading
2012 went out with a bang — literally!
Sunday, December 30th, Mark got hit by a runaway golf cart. He already has lower back pain from a military maneuver in 1998 and this exacerbated it, so after brunch on the 31st, we went to the VA Emergency room. This was sometime between 1:30 and 2:00 in the afternoon. Continue reading

Cats are like kids
We’re in the middle of another heavy rain storm. Yesterday when I was working, my clothes got soaked. Rain storms here seem to last several days. We’ve had heavy winds and fog as well. Continue reading
Happy trails to you!
Mark and I had a wonderful time with family the last few days. My mother graciously hosted us, we visited my aunt and got a tour of my cousin’s new home in Sherwood, we spent a couple hours visiting my son and daughter-in-law in their home this morning, and we had a big, wonderful family gathering for Thanksgiving this afternoon. Continue reading
Home for the holiday
This evening after work, Mark and I fed our kitties, cleaned their litter box, loaded the car, and left them behind. They will be in good hands, though, as Beth said she would take care of them while we are gone. Continue reading
