This afternoon Mark was invited to watch the Superbowl game with the men in my family (and my younger sister), and I picked my mom up and took her to my older sister’s house where we caught up on each other’s news.  I’m not a sports fan, but I know that the San Francisco 49ers lost to the Baltimore Ravens 31-34.  I want to send my consolations to all my friends in Saratoga, Los Gatos and Palo Alto and let you all know that my family was rooting for the 49ers.

This morning I played the podcast of the first sermon I heard at Saratoga Federated — Tim Reilly’s testimony.  I look forward to today’s sermon being put online.

Probably the best part of today for me was as I was closing the gate to my mother’s courtyard behind me and she came running out of her house with arms outstretched and said, “My baby!”  I love you, too, Mom!  🙂
