This was our first Sunday to try out churches here. We had gone online and found Mark’s ward in Ferndale, just south of us. I had also found a Mennonite Brethren church here in Birch Bay, and it looked like it was going to work out well because Mark’s ward meets at 9:00 and the MB church meets at 11:00. Continue reading

Universal Reconciliation
This morning Mark and I went to his sacrament meeting and then we high tailed it to the forum class at Reedwood Friends. A woman who was influential in me becoming a member there, a professor of theology, was in town and led the class. Continue reading
Second Sunday of Advent
This morning we were out of propane in our external tank (it seems to go faster in the cold weather) and our hot water pipes were frozen. Our water tank which can be used with a water pump was a fifty gallon block of ice. I ended up walking across the snow to get to the bath house across the street to take a shower for church. We have to bring in the slide-out and the awnings and lift up the levelers. Mark also attached the nozzle that will allow us to use an external propane tank from now on so we won’t have to break camp every time we need propane. Continue reading
Visiting the big city and a little church
Tomorrow (the 14th) is Mark’s birthday, so I told him we could go look for his present today since we go back to work tomorrow. He has been wanting a big wind chime with a deep tone for most of the time I’ve been with him, so I looked online to try to find stores in the area that sell wind chimes. Continue reading
Our first “Sunday” in Gore
Today was the second day of our weekend. I can hardly wait for it to be over so we can get back to work. How many times in my life has anyone heard me say that? 😉 Continue reading
