I haven’t heard exactly how low the temperature got last night, but it was either at 0 or below 0. By the time we were out running errands this morning it was up to 8 degrees. Continue reading

Second Sunday of Advent
This morning we were out of propane in our external tank (it seems to go faster in the cold weather) and our hot water pipes were frozen. Our water tank which can be used with a water pump was a fifty gallon block of ice. I ended up walking across the snow to get to the bath house across the street to take a shower for church. A good day
On our way to work this morning the temperature was in the 40’s and it was still windy, but by our first break at 10:00 it was cold. There were big fat snow flakes and the snow was piled up about two or three inches. It was beautiful! Continue reading

Two down; three to go!

End of the summer surprise!
The last couple days we’ve had to turn the heat on for a few minutes in the morning for the first time in months. The temperatures still got up into the 80’s and 90’s by the afternoon. I guess next weekend they’re predicting it will drop into the 70’s. Continue reading
Things I’ve learned in Oklahoma
There are so many things about Oklahoma that make it a whole different culture from what I’m used to. This city girl has learned a lot about living in the country. I was just reminded of it again as I was sitting here at the Laundromat watching a man ride by the post office across the street on his horse. Continue reading
